Dr. John Mears
Dr. Mears carries a legacy of heartfelt care and commitment with more than a decade of experience. With roots in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and an education from the University of Iowa, Dr. Mears brings compassionate, patient-first dentistry. He is looking forward to serving the community and is focused on providing exceptional dental care in a down-to-earth environment. Outside the clinic, he cherishes time with his family, mountain biking adventures, golfing, and jogs with his loyal Golden Retriever, Trooper.

Hello, my name is Trooper and I’m a 7-month-old golden retriever. I’m the Chief Pawsitivity Officer here at Heron Lakes Dentistry. My boss says I’m not quite ready to be a full-time employee because apparently, I’m just a baby. Nevertheless, I’m going to get fully trained so I can spread pawsitivity and joy to our patients.
